This mailing combined two emotional issues: children suffering from hunger and children fleeing terrible violence in their country. It was no easy task to integrate these two issues in a single campaign, which is why we opted for a more general approach – the Christian duty we all have to care for these children. This is in line with SOS World’s vision: ‘We see our work as an act of Christian fellowship.’ It’s also the reason why we chose the promotional gift with a depiction of Jesus.
The average donation from this mailing campaign to loyal donors was higher than normal, and the response rate was also 2% higher than average.
